This release has the following changes:

Added:

  • New NED replacers:
    • Fat Chocobo
    • Guy Fieri
    • Jace
    • Majima
    • Warriors of Light

Fixed:

  • Abilities randomizer now actually includes the patch intended to make it possible to use magic skills out-of-order.
  • Removed a check, no longer necessary, that was intended to prevent NED replacers from being mixed with modes which scribble in the same scratch space.

Changed:

  • Existing NEDs have been adjusted and realigned; thanks, Dr Randulf.
  • Nero Exdeath has been redone entirely from scratch; thanks, Aulse.

Fixed:

  • Selecting the Balance patch disables everything it can't be used with.

This release adds the following:

  • NED replacement preview.
  • A few more NEDs.

Unfortunately, while I did in fact implement a Fiesta mode, it currently breaks the game in two places. I know, I'm disappointed, too.

Exdeath 0.7.2

This release has the following changes:

  • wormsofcan's 'balance' patch updated to 0.6.0
  • Exdeath starts in the application's working directory on Windows, rather than in Documents.
  • A new NED replacer was added.
  • A patch will be applied unconditionally which corrects certain monsters' names. Other corrections may be added, but the two listed are not up for debate.
    • W*ndigo is now correctly named 'Stalker'.
    • Alte Roite is now correctly named 'Old Man' (Alte Leute being the correct transliteration of the German).

This release has the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug in the randomizer where changing characters via L/R in the Abilities menu would cause magic commands to no longer appear.
  • Update Waddler Rebalance to v3.3.2, which also incorporates the above fix.

0.7

This release has the following changes:

  • The interface has been redesigned in order to allow both the Unlocked Jobs and Randomizer modes to be available independently of an actual mode. This mainly serves to allow Unlocked Jobs to apply to Waddler Rebalance.
  • Because of this, there is now instrumentation to disable/enable certain features based on the mode selection, so there's no confusion as to what does and doesn't apply to games with a given mode.
  • Waddler Rebalance has been updated to v3.3.1, and a readme has now been included for this mode.

Note: These changes mean that Exdeath's configuration is now versioned: it will not load configuration from previous versions. This was done to prevent the configuration from getting in to an inconsistent state.

0.6

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, it has come to this…

  • Randomizer mode added. An IPS patch is generated, the filename of which is the target filename with .ips appended. This way you can just send me the patch if you notice something fucky with the randomizer results.
  • Seed entry added. This is not saved with the 'Save Config' button.
  • Waddle Rebalance has been updated to v3.3.
  • The "Unlocked Jobs' patch was updated to include !Combine drops for some enemies; see the readme for more information.
