Exclusion list not working

Seen with v1.3.0 on Windows 11:
When I add an extension to the exclusion list, the concerning files still show up in the menu.
Easily reproducible e.g. by putting a .txt file in one of your folders and adding *.txt to the exclusion list.

Normally you would use just .txt without the * but I'll make this a supported option
