While working on phetsims/projectile-data-lab#232, I read the documentation at https://github.com/concord-consortium/codap/wiki/CODAP-Data-Interactive-Plugin-API. Through an example linked at the bottom of the page, I became aware of https://github.com/concord-consortium/codap-plugin-api, but it was somewhat surprising that it wasn't mentioned in the documentation.

Is it recommended to develop plugins using https://github.com/concord-consortium/codap-plugin-api?
Should it be documented in https://github.com/concord-consortium/codap/wiki/CODAP-Data-Interactive-Plugin-API?
