Just one general question, but this is a great checklist of things to try! Thank you very much. @travishathaway, @kenodegard, @beeankha, if any of y'all have the time to give this a lookover and a 👍, I'm good with it.

General question (perhaps for @travishathaway or @kenodegard): A lot of people do conda update conda
in (base). Is that advised? If not, should probably add an advisement against that. Just checking.
