May be it's abrupt, but I'm trying to back port lua 5.4 generational GC to a luajit2 fork, could your work be used?
I'm going to add it to https://github.com/openresty/luajit2.
And may you help me making a patch? Your work involves lot of commits and I have not enought knowledge on it.

Hi, unfortunately I don't think it is an easy task and my changes won't work for LuaJIT I think.
