This is an outline of materials to be included. Each heading or subheading could be a webpage, but we'll decide that later. This is more for content rather than structure at this stage. There should be lots of images, diagrams, etc. to support this. We will need to consider rights, so either original, public domain, or (I assume) materials that CERN has produced and is happy for us to use.
- For students (targeted for let’s say ages 12 through to late school age; this might be split into basic and advanced materials)
- Particle Physics
- what is it?
- history, cloud chambers, etc.
- CERN and the LHC
- search for dark matter
- what are the data and parameters that we're dealing with (in simple terms).
- eta, phi, pt, charge (should we remove the latter? It kind of sucks as a sonification parameter
- Synthesis
- what is it?
- Classical synthesis
- Four classic waveforms
- ADSR envelope and parameters
- other synthesis parameters in IPSOS
- examples to make it clear how things work
- Sonification
- what is it, and what's it for?
- artistic vs. practical applications
- parameter based sonification
- IPSOS examples to make it clear
- what is it, and what's it for?
- IPSOS app instructions
- how does it work?
- Particle Physics
- for Teachers
- lesson plans?
- sample excercises? (e.g. get students to do small improvs together)
- other resources to refer students to for music and physics
- Other
- Links, BEER, Dark Matter Project, more detailed info
- link to feedback form(s) (maybe separate for students and teachers) for impact capture.
