Yorkshire puddings #294

  • Serves: 4
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g plain flour
  • 100ml milk

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Add some oil to the pudding tin to heat the oil.
  3. Place the flour in a bowl, then make a well in the centre and break the egg into it.
  4. Mix in half the milk using a wooden spoon, work the mixture until smooth then add the remaining milk.
  5. Beat or whisk until fully combined and the surface is covered with tiny bubbles.
  6. Allow to rest for 15 to 30 minutes, in the fridge, whisk again before cooking.
  7. Pour the batter into the sizzling oil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes for individual puddings until risen and golden brown.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil
  • 2 large free-range eggs
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 100 ml milk

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 225°C/425°F/gas 9.
  2. Get yourself a cupcake tin and add a tiny splash of vegetable oil into each of the 12 compartments.
  3. Pop into the oven for 10 to 15 minutes so the oil gets really hot.
  4. Meanwhile, beat the eggs, flour, milk and a pinch of salt and pepper together in a jug until light and smooth.
  5. Carefully remove the tray from the oven, then confidently pour the batter evenly into the compartments.
  6. Pop the tray back in the oven to cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until risen and golden.

Ingredients

  • 300ml JUST MILK
  • 110g Plain Flour
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C; Gas mark 7
  2. Place the flour in a bowl, then make a well in the centre and break the egg into it.
  3. Mix in half the milk using a wooden spoon, work the mixture until smooth then add the remaining milk.
  4. Beat or whisk unti fully combined and the surface is covered with tiny bubbles.
  5. Allow to rest for 15 to 30 minutes, whisk again before cooking.
  6. Place a teaspoon of fat into each individual pudding tins and place in the oven until the fat is sizzling.
  7. Pour the batter into the tins and bake for 10 to 15 minutes for individual puddings until risen and golden brown.
