Would you be willing to remove this Google Analytics 'functionality' from this website? There are better alternatives if you must keep tabs on users' activity.

Some reputable alternatives can be seen here: https://switching.software/replace/google-analytics/

I would definitely not recommend any friend to use a distro that has this kind of thing on their website.

Agreed, this would be a great improvement on a great product!

This should absolutely be taken into account by the team as a high priority issue

By the way, I have also emailed the Linux Mint team about removing Google from their search page. Nothing back yet.

There is a difference, though. I can't stand Google, but I use Google Search every day - simply because duckduckgo and alternatives are worse.

Getting rid of the Google Sniffer aka "Analytics" is great though. The less Google sniffs about people, the better in general.

you can try to use Searx instead: https://searx.me/

Searx is a metasearch engine that you can use to fetch results from other search engines

i use https://searx.ninja/ currently, but there are also https://searx.be/, https://search.privacytools.io/ and https://occusearch.net/ which are the ones i like

Agreed. Searx can be used as a privacy-conscious frontend to Google. It's entirely FOSS, too. @rubyFeedback
