Refs: microsoft/vscode#96280

Ubuntu 18
VSCode insiders, no git credentials, purple no folder vscode

  1. Clone repository
  2. Choose GitHub
  3. Type some repostiory name "vscode" press enter. Nothing happens 🐛

Do the clone flow again -> error persitant store not initialised in quick pick. I would not expect to see this user unfriendly error
