Not sure if I agree with you on (the variance can be used to get a quick idea of the current packet jitter), but I do appreciate that you want to keep the interface as tidy as possible. |
The algorithm behind it is suboptimal for that, it's primarily designed for protocol's congestion control. I don't see how it can be useful for a user. |
