With the v0.5 series, we're planning on introducing a new end-user facing user interface element... a kind of "daemon process", with a graphical interface that works well for end users on a the platforms we support.

The zrok CLI will be refactored to better support single-command sharing (as it works today), along with managing the shares that are hosted by the daemon process on your system. So, desktop users running the graphical sharing daemon could very easily create shares that are serviced by the daemon process.

This same model, running in a "headless" capacity, would better support the "zrok Frontdoor" and production use cases where users want a single persistent process to manage sharing for a production host.

This is an epic-level task to capture this architectural change, CLI refactoring, and rolls up other work.

Refine Reserved Sharing:
#225

Single Command, Multiple Share|Access:
#194

Declarative Sharing (zrok compose):
#328

Desktop User Interface:
#221
