What's the problem you're hoping this new feature will solve?
It's possible (although currently infrequent) that someone will be invited to join multiple Keep Posted accounts. It's currently not possible to sign up for two accounts with the same email address.
Description of feature
People should be able to manage multiple users tied to the same email address. The simplest way (from the system's perspective) is to have email addresses be unique to the account, rather than the entire system.
Alternatives and workarounds
If a person has an email account that supports modifiers like name+modifier.example.com or similar, they can create multiple accounts with unique email addresses as far as the app is concerned, but deliver to the same place.
Additional context
There is currently a system-wide uniqueness constraint on email addresses. This isn't helpful as users are scoped to accounts, and never interact with the system globally. Being able to sign up for more than one account with the same email address would allow a person to join multiple accounts.
