After working on this project for a year, I've decided to shut it down. It was fun, and workplace communication is still a place where there are lot of unsolved problems. It became clear the more I worked on Keep Posted that it wasn't the solution that's needed.

Messages are designed to be easily viewable by anyone on your team. Not special apps or logins needed. At the end of the message, the viewer has an opportunity to respond with feedback.
