Good job @andcscott... the only thing I would suggest you might want to add in at some point is to change the keyboard shortcut binding that opens GNOME terminal to Terminator. (CTRL+ALT+T)

@sspencerwire Sure I can take care of that, if I recall it could be set via gsettings although I usually just go the lazy route with GNOME settings. Given the edits to the original doc I'd assume you're thinking GUI? But I figured best to double check.
