Do not emit missing_doc_code_examples rustdoc lint on module and a few other items #133595

It doesn't make sense to expect modules to have code examples. Same goes for:

  • Trait aliases
  • Foreign items
  • Associated types and constants

Should make the use of this lint a bit nicer.

Can we add some notes to the Rustdoc Book to document how we decide which things to require examples on and which ones to not?

The section in the rustdoc book is a bit empty (to say the least). Gonna extend it and also include why some items don't have this "requirement".

Added a list of items which do not trigger the lint.
