CUSA00265 - Minecraft: PlayStation®4 Edition #29
Comments
Tested on v0.2.0 both v01.00 of the game and latest version. v01.00: v02.94: P.S. If there's a crash in the log it's caused by quiting, happends with everything i try to boot. |
Same thing on windows. |
As of the latest prerelease build the game mostly works, however attempting to load a saved world crashes the game, there are crashes periodically during regular gameplay, and there is significant input delay when testing with an Xbox controller. Tested on patch 01.95. |
READ WIKI, ONLY STABLE RELEASES |
Details:As of v0.3.0, still nothing Log file: |
I understand, just putting it out there that the title will probably work in the next stable release anyways. Anyways, why are you reporting that the title doesn’t work on an earlier release when they’re working on it already on a later one? Isn’t that a bit redundant? And PS4 Edition goes up to 01.95; you’re testing Bedrock Edition. Apologies, I'm very new to this scene. |
I would assume "Minecraft: PlayStation®4 Edition" to be very desirable in the emulation community for several reasons. |
The entire reason why I got into ps4 emulation.. all physical copies I own of legacy console edition across 3 consoles either never updated to village & pillage or update aquatic. love seeing the game slowly being brought to near-full playability in a matter of days. |
Also on a further note and I think this is pretty important to mention, Please also test versions Before 1.99. 1.99 introduced “Bedrock Edition”. Technically it’s called “Minecraft: Bedrock edition for PlayStation®4” or “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition” and not “Minecraft: PlayStation®4 Edition” according to minecraft.wiki |
I have a copy of CUSA00744 (Physical Disc) and CUSA00265 (Digital Edition) and I’m intrigued to help with the process of getting Minecraft working on ShadPS4 if I ever landed the opportunity of contributing to the codebase. |
If you own physical media with box titled |
mine just crashes instantly, how did people get it working? |
Bedrock edition crashes instantly. Only Legacy Console Edition ( < 1.99 ) works. |
I'm using 1.95, maybe the install is corrupted? |
Forgot to mention, it only works on the latest commit. Not the latest stable release so yeah it's still classified as (nothing). Some Game breaking stuff:
|
I'm using the latest one on github actions, is that the latest commit? |
I'm pretty sure it is I captured this a few hours ago right after it finished compiling |
got it installed but on a xbox elite controller there's like a second of input delay edit: i forgot about the saved world bug, is there any way to wipe my save data for ps4 edition? |
Enter the user/savedata/1/CUSA00265 folder and delete any folders ending in ",0" & ".1". Those are world save files. To avoid having to do this every time I recommend just disabling autosave in any new created world. |
the dualshock 4 also gives me input delay for some reason but i think it's less than the xbox controller |
Inventory and respawning doesn't work for me also |
There is terrible input latency tho |
Inventory cursors seem to be broken as well, tested with keyboard and controller. The only method to move around the cursor that I know is to hold the Spacebar while moving around using WASD. It only seems to break when switching from controller input, to keyboard, then back. |
I deleted my old post. |
Well as of the newest versions of ShadPS4, they seem to be launching the game as normal, however when you leave the game with auto save on it crashes, on top of that it's still experiencing issues when trying to fetch the data for your world saves, the version of the game that works for me is v1.95. The one issue I have been experiencing using this emulator on the other hand is that it has major input lag using an Xbox One Controller, I do not have a ps4 controller, so if input lag has anything to do with what type of controller I'm using, then I unfortunately wont be able to utilize this emulator until they fix the controller issues |
With shadps4 0.5.0 Minecraft version 3.00 crashes at boot with this error
Log |
Can you try on 1.95 too ? |
Have any solutions been found for the input latency? |
Not at the moment no ;/ |
unrelated, but what is your plasma theme? @Weather-OS |

Can some people verify that PR shadps4-emu/shadPS4#2346 fixes input lag? |
as of latest commit it seems to |
the bug where the game crashes on the select world screen if you have a save file is still a thing though |
After the PR, camera and player movement seems to be quite erratic, can anyone else reproduce? |
