Rendering of dimension pane not fully working

I have successfully installed this and it seems to recognise at least some of my Kicad libraries.
The 'pad info' pane initially appears as a blank grey panel and when I click around in it, a variety of fields appear each time I click - as if I am clearing a hole through a misty window. Very odd.

Also - if I hit the 'Help menu and select the only entry, 'Manual - F1', the pane fills in one go - however, I still cannot manage to get any of the field descriptions to appear whatever I do. (Should say 'Description' 'Pad shapes' 'Pad size', 'Pitch' etc.)
