For better readability on mobile devices. As it stands, lead text appears on mobile with a thin font that doesn't stand out against regular paragraph text.

Have you tested the effect of this on desktop OSes?

This is how the fix appears on desktop. The top is the original lead class, and the lower is with font weight at 300.

TL;DR: They're identical.
