Running under FreeBSD

pgib edited this page Dec 8, 2010 · 1 revision

We use FreeBSD for our production servers, and I started setting up some FreeBSD-based development environments which run inside Parallels. Here is an example ~/.virtualhost-sh.conf configuration file to run inside a non-Mac OS X environment:

IP_ADDRESS="*"
APACHE_CONFIG="/usr/local/etc/apache22"
APACHECTL="/usr/local/sbin/apachectl"
OPEN_COMMAND="/usr/bin/false"
DOC_ROOT_PREFIX="/usr/home/developer/websites"
SKIP_DOCUMENT_ROOT_CHECK="yes"
SKIP_ETC_HOSTS="yes"
WILDCARD_ZONE="some.internal.wildcard.zone"
HOME_PARTITION="/usr/home"
LOG_FOLDER="/usr/home/developer/logs"
