When picking images for scenarios and quests, you might want to make sure, your art is fitting to the rest of the original content.

The art design prefers colorfull drawings with realistic, non-cartoony characters and is used in most Fantasy Flight Games boardgames. Most of the scenes are well lit. They may appear dark to you, but everything in it is quite visible.

You can use online tools like Photo Mania, to convert a foto into a drawing. Here is an example of such a conversion using the "Sharp Paint" effect, download, reupload and using the "Wash Paint" effect.

If you are skilled enough, you can use the foto as a template and draw over it, adding lights and highlights. Henning Ludvigsen also has tons of tutorials on his homepage.

Mansions of Madness

Most of the characters and scenes combine the action pulp setting with lovecraftian horror. The offical concept book called The Investigators of Arkham is a compelling guide if you want to delve deeper into the character concept.

Fonts

Licenses

Most of the images you find online are not free to distribute, even if it states on the site, that it is a free image. If you don't want to find yourself in trouble, pick images that are public domain, licensed as CC0 or CC-BY. You might find images at pixabay or flickr.

2D-Artists

The Decent and Mansions Of Madness art is from the artists Henning Ludvigsen, Anthony Foti, Tiziano Baracchi [2], Ignacio Bazan Lazcano, Adam S. Doyle and others. You might want to check out their deviantart galleries for Call Of Cthulhu and Descent to get a better idea of the art style.

3D-Artists
