Just needs the news file
As I'm sure it'll eventually come up FYI going to the actual HTML 5 spec the doctype has several valid variations beyond what's checked here:
Ignoring the DOCTYPE legacy string part you can use any type of ASCII white space to separate "DOCTYPE" and "html", and you can use multiple of them. This would therefore be a valid doctype:

sigh Of course it is. shakes head I lean toward waiting for someone to complain about that and prefer to have them submit a PR that goes through our regular review processes for that. If someone really wants pip to support these kinds of doctypes, they're welcome to file a PR. |
